The EQ-i 2.0 provides you with a picture of how you operate emotionally, your areas of strength and potential areas for development. There are many ways to develop your EQ competencies (see the one-day bootcamp, “Leading with Emotional Intelligence”, which immediately follows each certification course).

Personality typing, think of MBTI, the Colors Personality, the Enneagram refer to preferences. Emotional Intelligence refers to behaviour. And whilst preferences dictate some of our behaviours, personality assessments don’t measure behaviour. The right Emotional Intelligence tools do. Preferences are like glasses. You can put them on and off. Behaviours are part of your anatomy – like eye sight. Preferences can be changed. Behaviours are hardwired and much harder to change.

The Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i 2.0) is the world’s leading assessment tool used for assessing emotional and social intelligence and an excellent way to understand the emotional competencies of an individual. It is a ‘self-rater’ instrument, versus the multi-rater EQ 360.

EQ-i 2.0 and the multi-rater EQ 360 can be administered only by qualified psychologists and certified practitioners.  

The assessment tool is delivered online, using a secure site and involves responding to 133 statements, taking approximately twenty minutes to complete.

Once completed, there are two report types to choose from: the Workplace Report and the Leadership Report, each providing scores in 15 competencies, grouped into five composite areas: Self-Perception, Self-Expression, Interpersonal, Decision Making and Stress Management.
